Funding Liberty!

Introduction

A Political History

by George Phillies

Fall 2002

 Acknowledgements

This book would have been impossible without the intellectual and material support of many Libertarian friends.  I should note in particular the indefatigable compilations and careful records of John Famularo, Ken Sturzenacker, Jacob G. Hornberger, and Melinda Pillsbury-Foster, not to mention information from Paul Schauble, Gene Cisewski, and the Pennsylvania activist community.  Tom Knapp's editorial suggestions were extremely valuable.  Much financial data here was obtained from the Federal Election Commission and the Massachusetts Office of Campaign and Political Finance, whose effective distribution to the public of financial filings obtained under penalty of perjury made possible large parts of this book.  In punctuating quotations, the Style guide of the American Chemical Society has been followed: Terminal punctuation is only placed within quotation marks if it was present in the original text.  Parentheses mark clarificatory text.
